Events, Seminars, & Community Projects
We have several upcoming community events that will be taking place throughout the Hampton Roads area. These events are designed to bring the community together and provide opportunities for socializing and networking. One of the events Helping Hands C.W. will be hosting is the "Save Our Sons" initiative. This event is designed to raise awareness of the growing gun violence polluting our communities. As well as find ways to combat this rapidly growing trend among our young men. Another event we will be hosting is a neighborhood cleanup day where volunteers gather to clean up the streets and parks, making our community more beautiful and inviting. Additionally, we will be hosting a "Financial Literacy" Camp. Our financial literacy camp is a program designed to educate individuals, especially young people, about important financial concepts and skills. These events are a great way to get involved in the community and meet new people while also supporting local causes and businesses. On May 25th, Helping Hands of Crestwood will be collaborating with the B.E.A.C.H Foundation, and other organizations throughout the Hampton Roads area in a local Career Day for young aspiring leaders. There will be food, games, as well as a Scholarship presentation for our "Early Learners Scholarship" from the Helping Hands of Crestwood committee.
This event is aimed to provide our youth with a wealth of knowledge and exposure to help them begin planning for their future and what they aspire to be. There will be food, games, and many influential individuals. Speakers and Vendors will range from Professional Athletes, Doctors, Tradesmen, Entrepreneurs, etc...

Recruits Excelling Against Limitations

RECRUITS EXCELLING AGAINST LIMITATIONS, R.E.A.L This panel discussion will give young upcoming student-athletes the opportunity to learn and gather insight on what it takes to be a successful "STUDENT-athlete" and what is to be expected.
This event will give young athletes the opportunity to be exposed and connect with individuals that have been in their shoes and went on to play the highest level of collegiate sports and even professional. We will discuss the "REAL" behind high school and college sports and what is expected of athletes and what they can expect.
Students will be questioned on what they feel their own "limitations" are. And be given the blueprint to conquer these limitations. Limitations whether they be physical, mental, socioeconomic, demographic, or even spiritual. After leaving this event, recruits will have a well of knowledge and insight to tackle whatever they felt was holding them back from being the best versions of themselves.

Our youth football camp event gives kids the opportunity to learn various football techniques and skills from experienced coaches and professional players from the NFL, CFL, XFL, and over-seas. They will participate in fun drills, friendly competitions, and even got to meet some of their football idols. We are proud to provide a platform for talented young athletes to enhance their football abilities and make lasting memories.
